Reclaimed Oak Extending Dining Table
Reclaimed Oak Extending Dining Table
Crafted from reclaimed American oak, this is a table defined by its solidity and quiet practicality. The timber brings a natural warmth to the room, while the overall construction feels considered and enduring - made for daily use rather than occasional display.
At 2.2 metres in length, it sits comfortably within the rhythm of everyday living, offering generous space without overwhelming the room. When needed, two extension leaves neatly stored beneath the table to allow it to extend to 3.5 metres. The mechanism is straightforward and easy to use, designed to adapt without fuss.
In its standard form, the table seats up to eight. Fully extended, it accommodates up to twelve, making it well suited to both smaller, day-to-day meals and larger gatherings when the house is fuller.
The cross-frame base provides a sense of structure and balance, while also allowing for flexibility in seating along the length of the table.
A piece that moves easily between everyday use and more considered occasions, without needing to change its character.
Pictured with this dining table we have featured an oak dining chair which works very well with this table. For the chairs seen in these images click HERE

Care of oak furniture
We use an oil-based product to finish our oak dining tables. Our chosen finish is not at all shiny and has a non-gloss finish. This finish is used to make it appear as though there is no finish and that the wood is completely natural.
Furniture made of wood requires proper care to maintain its finish and remain in good condition.
Dust wooden furniture regularly with a clean, soft cotton cloth.
Use a lint-free damp cotton cloth to clean wooden items.
To clean the table, simply wipe down with a soft, barely damp cloth to remove any dust, in the case of stubborn marks a solution of mild detergent such as washing liquid should be used on the cloth.
Avoid the use of scourers or bleaches. In the event of severe spillages and stains, the surface can be re-sanded and re-oiled.
Always use coasters underneath hot objects to avoid getting white rings or spots in the finish.
Remove spills immediately.
Do not store polish remover, alcohol or abrasive solutions near furniture. It may damage the finish.
Keep sharp or pointed items away from the furniture to avoid scratches.
Keep out of direct sunlight. The ultraviolet rays can damage the finish and possibly bleach the wood.
Humidity levels should be kept consistent to avoid the expansion and contraction of wood.
Harsh chemicals should not be used to clean wooden furniture. Using chemicals can damage the finish and can cause colour differences in the wood
Do not drag wooden furniture. Always lift the item to avoid scratches to the flooring and damage to the furniture legs.
