A unique Ottoman empire travel trunk dating from 100 years ago.  Used to pack possesions to travel along the silk route this box may have contained clothes or treasure and would likely have been carried by hand cart or camel accross the spice trail.

Covered in fabric with a contrast fabric lining this box is covered in brass studwork in a geometric design.

Altough we have selected boxes in the best condition avaialble please expect wear and tear as this item is over 100 years old.  Imperfections to the body, trim and fabric are to be expected.  This is a relic and as such is a little battered - we refer to items such as this as 'dusty gold'.  

As this box is fabric covered you may wish to give it a little hoover with a soft brush on arrival and for maintainance annually.

This lovely decorative box is a one of a kind piece of hand crafted art suitable as a as a an accent accessory withing antique or rustic interior design schemes.

Courier Delivery

Delivery will take place via door-to-door courier as this item is too large and heavy, long or fragile to be delivered in a parcel by any of the UK parcel providers.

This service is undertaken by a one-man delivery service. 

When delivery takes place it will be to just inside the threshold of your home only.  

The courier will not be able to carry the delivery up or down steps to access your property.

After the courier has left you will need to remove the item from its packaging when present and carry it from your doorway into your home or garden.  

Delivery is added at the checkout - you will be able to view this charge before you pay.
