Antique African Standing Wooden Spoon
Each of our stunning antique African standing wooden spoons is a one-of-a-kind decorative antique.
Wonderfully aged and weathered with a fabulous patina, they have been worn smooth through years of use. A wonderful example of tribal African art, these spoons were originally a functional item and would have been used as an everyday object for stirring and serving food during ceremonies and village gatherings.
Primitively hand-carved from a single piece of wood, these ceremonial spoons have now been mounted onto bases, meaning they are easy to stand. They would make a fabulous display grouped together - place them together on a console table or directly on the floor.
